Dr. Marco Grotenrath is an associate in the Hamburg office of Latham & Watkins. He practices in the Litigation & Trial Department and is a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice. He advises both German and foreign companies as well as individuals in all areas of national and international dispute resolution. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigations, white collar litigation, and internal investigations.

Prior to joining Latham as an associate, he worked as a law clerk in the firm´s Hamburg office and gained professional experience while working for an international commercial law firm in Barcelona.

Mr. Grotenrath studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg, Madrid, and Münster and received his PhD in law from the University of Münster with a dissertation on transnational corporate sanctions in Europe. He regularly authors articles on issues relating to data protection, internal investigations, and compliance, most recently “‘Bring Your Own Device’-Geräte in internen Ermittlungen" (CCZ Corporate Compliance Zeitschrift April 2019).
